Happy Village Initiative

RCPU is exploring a holistic Happy Village approach for small and needy villages. The idea is to understand the village as a complete community and identify interventions across multiple dimensions rather than implementing a single isolated activity. The initiative is currently at the development and needs-assessment stage. Once a village is formally selected and the intervention plan is approved, the page can be expanded into a detailed multi-year impact story with baseline needs, activities, partners and outcomes.

Date: 2026–27. Location: Rural Maharashtra. Status: Planning / Needs Assessment. Beneficiaries: Residents of selected rural villages; final location and beneficiary numbers are yet to be confirmed. Impact: Aims to create a holistic development model by combining multiple community needs rather than addressing one issue. Team contribution: RCPU rural-development team and future implementation partners.
