RCPU received an allotment of two villages under the New Technology Agriculture initiative in collaboration with Syngenta Foundation India. The initiative is planned as a three-year rural service programme beginning in Rotary Year 2026–27. The initial phase focuses on understanding village conditions, meeting stakeholders and identifying how appropriate agricultural technology and knowledge can improve local outcomes.

Date: 6 August 2026. Location: Khandala & Phaltan, Satara. Status: Launched / Ongoing. Beneficiaries: Farmers and rural communities in the two allotted villages; final village names and beneficiary count should be verified. Impact: Begins a three-year rural-development programme focused on technology-enabled agriculture, with potential for measurable improvements in farming practices and livelihoods. Team contribution: RCPU rural-development team and Syngenta Foundation India, with village-level stakeholders.
